Swan Nebula (M17)

The Swan Nebula, also known as the Omega Nebula, is an emission nebula located in the constellation Sagittarius. It is a very bright and massive star forming region about 3000-4000 lightyears away. It can be seen during the summer months in the Northern Hemisphere in the southern Milky Way. 

This image was made with a Nikon Z7II and a Nikon 600mm f/6.3 lens with a 1.4x teleconverter for a total 840mm focal length at f/9. Total exposure time was 42 minutes via 63 40s exposures at ISO 6400. Star tracking was done with a Fornax LighTack II. Aligned images from Deep Sky Stacker were stacked and stretched using Python coded algorithms. Some final image processing was done with Topaz DeNoise AI and Capture One
