ABOUT ME
As a Colorado native I grew up appreciating the outdoors and nature. Climbing mountains and hiking into remote places became my passion. One of the things that drove me to photography was the idea of capturing images of those beautiful, seldom seen places. A camera, backpack, and an ice axe became my standard equipment for the mountains.

Even though my passion was for the outdoors and photography, I decided to get a degree in Electrical Engineering rather than selling stock images and shooting occasional events. After graduation, I worked in industry doing engineering and ultimately higher levels of corporate management. The passion for photography and the outdoors, however never left me. I did what I could in my rare spare time away from the hectic world of business. However, after enough years of looking at office walls, the insides of airplanes, and hotels, it was time for a change. Over the past ten years I have been fortunate to be able to spend my time once again enjoying mountaineering and many areas of photography once again.

Today my photography continues to take me to new places. I am always looking for new adventures, new techniques, and stories to write about. Outside of art reproduction and commissioned print work, I also very much enjoy leading talks and seminars on outdoor adventures and photography.
