Astrophotography image stretching program, astro-color-stretch, has now been updated to version 1.2. This new version is available for free to the astrophotography community. It works the same as all previous versions but with some additional new processing options:
- Logarithmic stretching
- HSV color correction
- Richardson-Lucy Deconvolution
- Vibrance in HSV color adjustment
- Manual histogram box area selection for black point
New users should first view the original Fast Image Stretching with astro-color-stretch post for an introduction to the capabilities of this program. In short, program astro-color-stretch is an astrophotography processing program that quickly stretches and color corrects a stacked astro image in one step.
Program astro-color-stretch has additional options for selecting root-power, arcsinh, or log stretch methods, curves, vignetting and gradient correction, color and white balance adjustments, star size reduction, and Richardson-Lucy deconvolution. All features of version 1.2 as well as how to run are described more fully here in the astro-color-stretch Setup and Parameter Guide 1.2.
