Some of My Favorite Fuji Links

One of the great things about shooting with Fujifilm is the number of informative and inspirational web sites out there. In spite of being a rather small community of users, there seems to be an almost outsized effort to share user experiences and knowledge. Below are some of my favorite sites dedicated, in whole or in part, to the almost cult-like following of Fujifilm.

FujiLove Magazine
An online magazine dedicated to Fuji X photographers. Started in 2015 by street and landscape photographer Tomash, the site has amassed a great deal of content for anyone looking for information on pretty much everything Fuji. Articles written by a number of well-known contributing and guest authors are organized by subject from gear, to news, reviews, podcasts, and my personal favorite – the inspirational articles.

Fuji X Passion
Another excellent online magazine dedicated to Fuji X photographers. Started by Mauricio Reis and Hugo, Fuji X Passion has a wealth of articles on Fuji gear, photography technique, news, visual stories, and inspiration. A number of well-known contributor photographers keep the topics interesting. There are a lot of excellent and inspiring images on this site.

Fuji X Weekly
A photography blog site by Ritchie Roesch dedicated to Fuji cameras. In addition to talking about Fuji gear and photography experiences, perhaps the most remarkable thing is that Ritchie has created numerous custom Fuji film simulations. He shows all his recommended camera settings along with examples of the results. If you are into a particular film look not available in the limited number offered in-camera by Fuji, then look no further. Ritchie now even has an app available via Google Play and the Apple App Store to guide you through the necessary settings for all of his simulations.

Andy Mumford Photography
Andy Mumford is a European based landscape and travel photographer. His most recent works are mostly from places like Iceland, Lofoton, and the Dolomites. They are haunting and excellent. I first noticed Andy in his YouTube video, Switching to Fuji from Nikon Full Frame, which really got me thinking about a similar switch for my own travel and landscape photography. If anyone questions whether Fuji’s APSC sized sensor cameras are good enough for professional landscape work, look no further than the works of Andy Mumford. As a follow up, Andy also did another video, Full Frame to Fuji – Six Years Later as a Landscape Photographer, reaffirming his decision to go with the Fuji X-system.

Photographylife –
A great site for general photography information and gear reviews. While Nikon-centric with most of their camera and lens reviews, there are still a number of Fuji (and other brands) camera and lens reviews that are very worthwhile to check out. What I definitely respect about Photographylife’s reviews is that they are well written, thorough, and objective. If you are looking for the facts and honest opinion rather than just some sponsor driven reviews, Photographylife is definitely for you. Articles by founder Nassim Mansurov and Spencer Cox are always excellent. Fortunately, Photographylife also recently added more staff contributors which has only added to more regular addition of content.

Pal2tech
Last but certainly not least is Chris Lee at Pal2tech. His well-produced YouTube channel specializes in all things Fuji. He has a lot of camera, lens, and accessory reviews. Perhaps the most helpful videos, though, are about the operation and often subtle features of Fuji cameras. Fuji’s manuals are, shall we say, less than clear on a lot of things. Pal2tech does a great job decoding things and making them clear and easy to understand.

I have no doubt that there are a lot of other great Fuji related sites out there. These just happen to be my current favorites that I am most familiar with. If there are others, I would surely love to hear about them in the comments below.
