The aptly named Horsehead Nebula is located in the Orion complex. It is a small dark-nebula that is approximately 1375 light-years from earth. 

This image was made with a Nikon Z7 II and a Nikon 600mm f/4 lens at f/4. A total of 120 30-second exposures at ISO 3200 were made for a total of one hour of exposure time. Star tracking was with a Fornax Lightrack II. Aligned images from Deep Sky Stacker were then stacked and stretched using routines written in Python. Some final image processing and adjustments were done with Topaz DeNoise AI and Capture One.
